UNESCO has officially added six ancient medinas in Comoros to its World Heritage list, acknowledging their rich history and cultural value.
These medinas, characterized by their palaces, mosques, and public squares, date back to the 12th century and continue to be inhabited.
The recognition by UNESCO not only highlights the architectural beauty of these sites but also emphasizes their importance in the cultural heritage of Comoros.
